Cantare
Cantare is a Bay Area non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the power and beauty of choral music through adult choirs, youth programs, and community-building concerts that unite singers of all ages.
In its almost 40th year of supporting and advancing music in the Oakland Unified School district, Cantare is a proven force for good. Cantare’s board knew it was important to set the organization up for continued growth and success for the future by a fresh rebrand with the goal of increasing its donor base, choral singers, and audience.
The bass clef is sometimes considered the underdog, yet essential—holding the weight of the music, shaping its form, and giving resonance to its soul. It is the anchor, the quiet force that makes everything else possible. This icon represents Cantare and its mission beautifully, as Cantare brings music education to the underserved students of the Oakland Unified School District.
